Smear: Living in the moment, Smear paints because he has no choice. After being an ink stained graffiti writer in Los Angeles for more years then I care to disclose, the choice of making marks on surfaces with some sort of tool is out of my hands. “I paint the world around me and what is inside of me. I have a obsessive addiction. I paint because I have no choice.” www.artofsmear.com
Euthanasia : Los Angeles based illustrator Euthanasia creates art work based on his beloved city, and the underlying sentiment he picks up from it. Modeling his images off of inhabitants and locations he frequently surrounds himself with, his work creates a juxtaposition of the surreal world of the Saturday morning cartoons he loves and the reality of living on the streets of a major metropolitan city.
Branded: Branded documents his and others’ graffiti art photographically, in media from high-end 35mm film to a crappy camera phone, but he doesn’t consider himself a photographer, or even, for that matter, a graffiti artist: these are both means to the end of communicating something else. The spirituality of soullessness – the search to create meaning or truth in a world lacking in both – or simply the drudgery and drugs and people and partying with which we fill our lives in order to avoid it. www.brandedbunny.com
AKO: “AKO” Or “Akayo” is A Born And Raised San Francisco Bay Area artist who’s art can be found lurking in the streets or in galleries and museums across the US, Australia and Europe. He has been working on the streets of Bay Area since the mid 1990’s where his images continue to endure on walls, mailboxes and other surfaces around the city. He enjoys making books, stickers, taking photos, sign painting and moving about in the city’s shadows. His work has seen many different forms from the street to the galleries and most recently a pair of signature Osiris Shoes that just came out this year, rare hand crafted books to sign painting to skateboard films his creating just doesn’t end with painting. He has been apart of group shows worldwide and has done solo shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles,Philly And New York And his art has appeared in numerous publication worldwide. www.sitekreator.com/upvolm
